Once he separated the temperature screen from the radio screen, he installed it below the android screen using metra kit 99-7626HG. Then put a cover screen in front of them to make it seem like they are a single screen. One for the radio and one for the temperature controls. It seems nissan put 2 separate screens together. When I was changing the orange screen on my Pathfinder with the tesla radio, I checked to see if that was possible and it seems like it is possible. Then he separated the temperature part of the orange screen from the radio part. In the video, he replaced the orange screen with a generic android single din radio. There is a video of a YouTuber who has apperantly solved the orange mono screen of death dilemma. The title of it is: 2014 Nissan Custom double din dash by underground. You kind of have to be a bit savvy to install it. The instructions instructions provided by Rhrino radios are horrible. That is not an issue for me as I now play music and videos thru the usb input from the tesla radio. you are still able to use the CD player using the omg buttons when that happens. But you can still use the omg radio and omg CD player.but sometimes the screen interface for the CD player does not appear correctly on the tesla screen. Other than that.every else works as intended. You are able to turn the heat or AC and control the temperature of the car using the tesla virtual temperature controls. Also, the temperature cannot be changed to Fahrenheit. but you will not be able see the actual temperature reading.įor example, 78 degrees ect. The cons: The actual physical climate control buttons are replaced by the tesla screen with virtual temperature controls. but for me the pro's 100% outweigh the cons. Now, I have navigation, usb connection to play videos and music, install a backup and front camera, use my cell phone thru radio, can use the internet and watch you tube videos on the screen using my cell phone's hot spot and so many amazing things.īut their are drawbacks.which may be too much for some people. There are 3 options that I have found.įor me this was the best option. I have a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder with that same orange screen but I believe I have solved the issue. I know how you feel about the orange is horrible.
